Cross a Cheerleader, Fear Your World
First, there were Nigel Swaby's attempts to slough off Casey Serin and make nice with the critics, who saw through his antics as just another attempt to whore for attention and drive traffic to his multiple blog drivel. He straddled the fence between the two camps, eventually switching back to Team Casey, only to recently be publicly disparaged by the Boy Wonder.
Things were quiet along the western front, until a strong wind blew in from the south. Duane LeGate was the next to go public, refuting Casey Serin's troll on the "I Am Facing Foreclosure" site that he was (pout) thinking about shutting down the blog.
Duane offered a great deal of insight into his role with Casey--and what he demanded in return. One of the few strangers to approach Casey Serin without an outstanding agenda of his own, Duane LeGate demanded that Casey start to live up to his adult responsibilities. When Casey continued his dance of deceiving and ignorning, Duane decided to go public.
Casey Serin's brother, Steve Serin, popped up next in a Friday Night Fraudcast. Like Duane LeGate, the guy was obviously trying to rattle his older brother in an attempt to have Casey Serin realize just how desperate his life had really become.
LossMitPro (Mark Villasenor in the real world) started to dance on the dark side after Casey Serin went into supporterz-ignore mode with him. As his moniker suggests, this loss mitigation specialist was working with Casey to get the half-million or so in outstanding payments down to manageable nuggets.
Like all who came before him, Casey Serin fucked this supporter as well. And apparently the new affiliation with Marty Stewart and his vague threats of lawsuits, DMCA complaints, et al, have sent Mark Villasenor into seizures of glee.
Because Mark Villasenor has always seemed to want to have a good fight with someone. And the Marty Stewart-Casey Serin posturing provided him with a great opportunity to flex some legal muscle.
Mr. Villasenor fired off an "I dare you" letter to Casey Serin and Marty Stewart. In essence, it's a response to the copyright claim that the dynamic dumbasses are making in regard to Casey Serin's "brain dump" recordings. Mark Villasenor counters that they are in fact evidence of Casey Serin's multiple crimes, and because of that cannot be copyrighted.
Giving both Casey Serin and Marty Stewart the big middle finger, Mark reposted the recordings for "public inspection." It had been theorized that "LossMitPro" was working, not for Casey Serin, but for his lenders, to ensure that Sercasey did indeed pay his debts. The message on Mark's company website confuses that theory.
What Mark Villasenor has said is that he's chomping at the bit for Casey Serin, Marty Stewart or the combination to sue him. He even says that if they don't sue him that he may initiate a case himself.
While this sounds, and perhaps is, a bit fucking crazy, it seems that Mr. LossMitPro is calling what appears to be a huge bluff. Casey Serin has too much to hide, and sitting through depositions would not only require him to travel back to California from his little hideout in Australia, it would force him to reveal, under oath, the details of all the shady dealings he's been doing for the past year and a half. Perhaps longer.
It's an incredibly interesting twist in the Casey Serin saga. And it will be crazy to see it all play out. Certainly, Marty Stewart may have lost some of his plucky backtalk as the week ends.
While I have no first-hand knowledge, I've heard it said over the past year that if you save the cheerleader, you save the world. I don't know if this is true or not, but one thing long-time "haterz" do know--it really is harder than it looks to keep a cheerleader on Team Casey Serin.

Casey Serin Flees the Country
It's difficult to tell if this is really Casey Serin posting the website for sale, but as of this evening, the current bid is $20,000. The listing says "iamfacingforeclosure.com is now for sale, the Feds are getting too close and I am fleeing back to Uzbekistan, it was fun why it lasted. Thanks everyone!"
Galina Serin is finally talking. And it's because her husband, Casey Serin, has fled the country, leaving her with a mountain of debt and possible criminal charges looming.
Rob Dawg at ExUrbanNation posted an incredible Casey Serin scoop...namely, that Casey Serin has been crashing with his folks, presumably persona non grata at Yulia's at the moment. He called Galina to tell her that he was leaving and if she wanted to say goodbye to come over immediately.
What Galina Serin did not immediately know is that Casey Serin had cleaned out their accounts, leaving her with no means to pay the bills. An "I Am Facing Foreclosure"
Considering how difficult it is to get a freeloading Casey Serin out of one's home once the invitation has been extended, I have to wonder about the wisdom of that.
Assuming that Casey Serin did not plan his trip too far in advance, he would have gotten an ETA in lieu of a visa. This would allow him to stay for three months at a time in Australia. No doubt, it would have greatly appealed to him that "employment is prohibited."
A fresh, new, unused excuse for Casey to tramp out!
To call Casey Serin a coward is simply too easy. He's so far outside the bounds that, even after a two-family intervention, Casey Serin is still willing to flee from the deeds of his own hands and leave his wife holding the bag.
I recently finished a great book called The Floating Brothel
The juicy bit of the story comes from the fact that these founding mothers, in essence, prostituted their way to the new world. As their ship made dozens of stops on its way to Oz, the ladies used their feminine wiles to their advantage, collecting quite the handsome nest egg before their arrival to the new world.
And isn't that just the path that Casey Serin has taken? He's whored himself around the interwebs, and every so-called opportunity that presented itself was just another way for him to flatback his way through life, ultimately landing in Australia.
(That said, the story of the Aussie founding mothers is an amazing tale, and I came away with an incredible amount of respect for what these women accomplished. This is where the parallel to Casey Serin ends.)
There is more snark to come. Schnapps I will be doing a joint post of goodness, where two smart, snarky girls come together in a cyberspace coffee shop (or wine bar, depending on the time of day) to hash out the details.

Is Anyone Surprised?
Casey Serin has never been able to live up to the terms of a contract, apparently even one with his wife and family. I imagine the past week has been an emotionally draining one for Casey Serin, mustering up his best con artist (or, as T prefers, con finger painter) ways to convince Galina and the Serin Family that he must, MUST get back online.
After all, what will the camera crew from Intervention have to tape for b-roll if Casey Serin isn't blogging?
Sweet media stories being printed without mention of Casey Serin, the blogosphere continuing along its path without his voice to be heard...all of this must have been far too much for Casey Serin.
The only thing that amazes me are the cheerleaders and supporters who defend the Snowflake as he repeatedly proves their trust and affections to be woefully misplaced.
I just wonder if, in all of the wrangling that had to take place for Casey Serin to get access to his shiny toys again, he admitted to his family that he was sneaking online late at night?
Or better yet, if Serin dad Aleskey knows that Mama Serin is Casey's guarantor for the shady shell corp?

Good Riddance
I've been a bit surprised that I haven't really been able to muster any feelings one way or the other about Casey Serin's disappearance into the ether. I think this comes, in large part, from just not believing a damn thing that comes from Casey Serin or his "I Am Facing Foreclosure" site.
As I said to Schnapps earlier this morning (and, I later learned, was reflected in many callers' attitudes as well) that by changing out the mainpage, Casey Serin is still in fact blogging.
And I just don't believe that he'll be able to cut his losses so easily. Galina may have taken his shiny tech toys away from him by confiscating the cell and laptop, but he's obviously finding ways around this, with or without Galina's slack consent.
My complete disinterest in the demise of "I Am Facing Foreclosure" was washed away by listening to yet another round of Casey Serin playing the victim on his chat show. Perhaps because I actively avoid spending any great deal of time with slack-jawed imbeciles, I've just never seen someone who so completely and thoroughly misses the point every flipping time.
Casey Serin's false wisdom comes out straight away, with his assessment that "Realtors are eager to show vacant homes." In fact, the opposite is true largely because, without the feel-good elements of living spaces defined for them, most buyers are unable to immediately relate to the space.
A simple Google search reveals real estate agents all over the country discussing the challenges of selling vacant homes. Not to mention that an entire peripheral industry that has sprouted to alleviate the burdens of selling vacant homes.
Casey Serin then makes it clear that simple facts still elude him. When asked about his job hunt, he replies that he's basically still mining his Inbox for gold, rather than making any outside effort for employment. When it is pointed out to him that the contract with Galina stipulates that he look for a job as soon as IAFF goes down, he says "If the contract says that and I broke it, then that's your opinion."
No, asshole, it's not an opinion. Facts are facts. The dictionary reminds us that a "fact" is "something that has actual existence." A fact exists at face value. The process of query and debate ends upon conclusion that something is indeed factual.
Casey Serin tells the world that "I resent and hate that it worked out his way," clearly a reference to Galina and the families' intervention. Again clueless to reality, he still insists that Galina Serin regards the IAFF blog as Casey Serin's mistress. Wrong again, little dude. Galina's fed up with scrubbing toilets while you sit on your ass. Plain and simple.
Casey sneers to his caller "Thanks for your negativity." Actually, you're the one pouting and crying, Casey, so the vast majority of negativity was actually spewing out of your lying mouth.
A caller named "internet" picks up on this and calls Casey Serin out on his inability to commit, follow through, and live up to his word. Casey Serin whines again, his tired "I'm so misunderstood" routine, and bitches that he's being picked apart. The funniest part of this exchange is when Casey Serin asks his caller if he would chastise a child for falling down while it's learning to walk.
If the child in question burned down the house as it fell down while learning to walk, then YES, every blessed one of us would chastise the child, Casey.
Casey Serin doesn't appreciate "internet" pointing out that he's not a child and shifts the blame from Galina to the Haterz as being the reason for shutting down "I Am Facing Foreclosure." No one sees, in Casey Serin's opinion (which, again, holds a different definition from the aforementioned word "fact") the voluminous positive changes he's been able to make.
You know what, Casey? You're correct there. No one has been able to see that. Because your "positive changes" are like an imaginary friend that you carry around in your pocket and feed cracker crumbs to.
Now a special word to Casey Serin's last vocal supporter, Mocha. I don't know where you came from, sweetheart, but you're obviously new to this game. When you popped up on an earlier fraudcast, I took you at face value as a young, overeager little queen who was twittering from all the drama.
But since you're repeatedly inserting yourself into the line of fire, here's the dish, Mary. In all of your exuberance in supporting Casey Serin, you're just playing out the newbie routine--oh the Haterz are so hard on you! and all that nonsense. Did it escape you that Casey Serin treated you like everyone else who has earnestly offered him advice? He smiled and nodded and then continued to traipse down his merry path of picking dandelions.
I had a whole coterie of post-brunch queens with me this afternoon as I listened to your bullshit. And they all rolled their eyes and laughed out loud in recognizing the hubris of the young gay male.
On that topic, maybe you should have asked Casey Serin how he feels about queers...what fun tidbits of information he's picked up from his fundamentalist teachers. Because we've already seen what he's been reading about the world's non-white population.
One of my queens pointed out that, as a particularly flamboyant little thing, you must have really been put through the ringer at some point to identify and even align yourself with the downtrodden Casey Serin. Fair enough. But I find your ignorance appalling. You can't see Nigel Swaby for the seedy hanger-on that he is, so it's not surprising that you won't acknowledge Casey Serin as a criminal, fraud, and liar.
Even Casey Serin doesn't take Nigel Swaby seriously. He's ignored everything Nigel has ever said to him, dangled the carrot in front of him regarding bringing Nigel into "I Am Facing Foreclosure," and doesn't even read Nigel Swaby's multiple blogs.
In fact, when Nigel Swaby called in to talk to Casey Serin, Nigel smugly made reference to one of his blogs, asking Casey to acknowledge and thereby publicize it. After several seconds during which I swear there were crickets chirping, Casey admitted he hadn't seen it. A defeated Nigel Swaby then hung up.
Through all of Casey's pouting during the Friday fraudcast, one thing is clear. He's pissed off that he couldn't control the story. And maybe that's the thing that finally drove Galina Serin, the Serin family, and the Suprun family to the edge. The fluffy articles about "Casey and Galina Serin as victims of predatory lending or the real estate bubble" are gone. Instead, they've been replaced by stories of "The World's Most Hated Blogger."
So, Casey, you can be as angry as you like over the fact that, from the earliest days, the Haterz controlled the story. The reality is that you never could have existed without them. They linked to you, increased your page rankings, and stirred up interest in all corners of the blogosphere on your behalf.
We were always going to win this one. Because at the end of the day, you're going to fade to obscurity, known for little else but a dancing monkey on the internet for a few months. We've all got our careers, our friends, our families, not to mention our hopes, dreams and futures. You've got that gnawing pit of dread in your stomach, waiting to see when the next shoe will drop, who will be coming for you next.
Just do us all a favor...when the po'po does eventually come to take you away, be sure to pull an O.J. so that we can all watch the v-dubs careening down the 101 in a desperate attempt to make a run for the border.
Consider it a final blog entry for the Haterz.

Okay, Fine, Let's Talk About Casey Serin
The other reason I love Caseypedia is that it is such a fabulous collection of so-called Haterz' writing. Proving that Casey Serin's critics are some of the brightest people online, Caseypedia is a highly accurate archive of Casey Serin's crimes and general stupidity, tossed with a light vinaigrette of dark humor and biting sarcasm.
In the chaos of the past two weeks, I'm still not entirely clear who initiated this wiki, so please step forward to claim your
I haven't actually logged in yet to add to the mix, but want to thank Benoit for initiating an entry pour moi. And I really want to know who included the incredibly funny line about me in M. SINGH's entry. BTC has denied adding it, so I suspect either Benoit again or Akubi (who at the time of this writing, does not have her own wiki entry. I'll have to log in and remedy that!)
As I said before, I've paid only scant attention to Casey Serin over the past two weeks. But there were two things that I'd like to point out. After reading Casey's little meltdown toward Duane Legate during his talkcast-in-lieu-of-beg-a-thon, I wanted to physically shake the little fucktard.
The petulant tone and ensuing temper tantrum were totally out of line. Here's the bottom line, Casey--Duane LeGate has repeatedly offered significant help and resources to you, free of charge. And you have, frankly, fucked him nine ways from Sunday each and every time. You say you wouldn't post personal emails. Didn't you do just that with PRLinkScam?
Hasn't Nigel Swaby done exactly the same thing with your emails, time and time again, in an effort to pimp you out on his multiple blogs? Once again, you chose the wrong battle.
The other thing that struck me was that Casey Serin has begun to implement so many of the scams and plans that I predicted he'd pull out of his bag of tricks. He'd implemented his own version of "pay per post" in his blog, turning content over to basically writing about his advertisers and pasting in some hubris from folks who paid $100 to damage their professional reputations.
For the record, advertising on Casey Serin's "I Am Facing Foreclosure" reveals you to be an "any port in a storm" kind of person, regardless of your industry.
During this phase of Casey's blogging, he crows that he's recently taken an IQ test offered by one of his scamvertisers. And just as I've suspected all along, the results were less than stellar. A couple of weeks ago, Rob Dawg asked if his intuition might be off regarding Casey's intelligence or lack thereof.
But then Casey Serin actually revealed that he's got an IQ of 132 based off of some cheesy internet poll. I'm not going to waste time on determining whether or not this is an inflated number...I'll let the boy have his supposed "win" on this one.
This explains entirely why Casey Serin's critics lost patience with him so quickly. Because most of us regard that level of intelligence the way an average person regards a clinical moron. There's that large a gap between us and you, Casey.
Let me put it another way...one of the myriad admission requirements for my kindergarden was a minimum IQ of 150. And those were the "slow" kids.
So, Casey, you're just what we suspected all along--ill-equipped to make it into the Big Leagues. In this crowd, we'd probably open a vein and relax in a warm tub if we were as dumb as you. We assume that someone with that low an IQ has to remove their shoes and socks to count to twenty. You might have to go back and read that again very slowly to understand it, but it will eventually sink in.
Your 132 IQ earned you the ability to learn some business vocab off of the backs of flashcards. But your limited intelligence also means that you're not capable of applying that knowledge in any significant way.
So with no talent and not a heaping load of brainpower, you really did find your niche...carnival sideshow. What you achieved with IAFF is about the best you can do. And even then, you never quite found a way to push through any barriers and take even one segment of that website to the next level.
Whatever outage is going on with your site this time (yawn), you'd better hope you can find some way to live up to the promises you made to your advertisers. Because while I think they're a bunch of halfwits as well, they could very well take a great deal of pleasure in filing small-claims and other nuisance suits against you. By plastering their praise for you all over your blog, you'll prove them fools for doing business with you, and they could very well try to take your only legitimate resource--"I Am Facing Foreclosure" itself.
Casey Serin is the Smelly Car of real estate, the blogosphere, and the business world in general. By making the I Am Facing Foreclosure advertisers look like fools, they're just joining a list of folks who are learning just how hard it is to escape the stink.

A New Lexicon for Crazy
He is almost as obsessed with personality, development and psychology as he is with religion and food. He starts with “40 Developmental Assets” that create healthy, caring and responsible adults. Perhaps thinking he falls short in one or more areas, he explores the more cheerful “Everyone Can Build Assets!”
We find Casey Serin ooking to myriad sources for explanations of “personality.” Many of these seem to be hand-picked to reinforce what Casey already believes about himself. After taking a number of such tests, it then becomes necessary for Casey Serin to follow the literature.
There’s obviously a lot of reading on Casey Serin’s agenda, so it seems like a good time to explore speed reading. Or, you know, just bag it all and pursue some “goal-free” living.
In Casey Serin’s “development” folder, we see the usual guru stuff. Casey has also been reading the strangely worded “looking for a new simplicity beyond the complexity” which perhaps explains why his writing is so poor.
There is a link to “Google’s Number One Life Coach” which I hope to mean that Casey Serin was looking for help, rather than looking to actually become a life coach.
Enter the cult of “sungazing,” which requires that, “either at sunrise or sunset (when the intensity of the sun is at its minimum) stand on the earth and stare directly at the sun for 10 seconds. Adding an additional 10 seconds to the total sungazing time each consecutive day. In 6 months your hungers would be under control and understood. Stand there for 10 months you would never need food again.”
Following Casey Serin’s link list, you can heal yourself naturally or head north of the pyramids If that doesn’t work, partake of the “Energetic Matrix Church of Consciousness.” Or try some “thought field therapy.”
Apparently it is possible to change the molecular structure of your food by praying over it. Same goes for water.
Meanwhile, Casey Serin has been researching the radio frequency emissions of his cell phone. And, in a link that I’m absolutely positive reveals far too much about Casey and Galina Serin, here’s one on holistic healing for a yeast infection, courtesy of the Life Force Plan.
Care to engage your inner hippie? Try wilderdom. Feeling paranoid? Just wait ‘til the oilcrash.
Just in case that’s not wacky enough for you, step on over to “Hidden Science, the New World Order, World Wide Electronic Mind Control, Population Reduction and Possible Earth Changes.” This one is really a doozey, because you’ll get to see just how diverse Casey Serin’s interests really are.
While there are so many excellent quotes from this website, I’m going to go with this one from the main page: “In January of 2002, I posted an article to this web site titled Goodbye Chemtrails, Hello Blue Skies which described a simple, homemade invention called a Chembuster. This new invention, inspired by Wilhelm Reich's Cloudbuster, demonstrated that it was possible to disperse and break up chemtrails, allowing for a return of normal blueness to the sky, an invigoration of the air with a clean, fresh smell and the production of rain in those areas where drought is being artificially created by HAARP and other secret weather controlling technologies.”
Once you’ve read up on your technologies, follow Casey Serin’s reading list over to Illuminati. I find the site, well, curious we’ll say, as the top banner says “alchemists conceal in order to baffle the vulgar. This site exists for the sole purpose of penetrating the veil.” In other words, this site is for slack-jawed morons.
But if you’re like Casey Serin and too stupid to be insulted, I guess you’ll want to read all about things like “Environmentalism: The Religion for an Eco-theocratic Superstate?” or “Plato the Kabbalist.” Maybe you’d like to discuss “The CIA and Mind Control,” “High Frequency Vandalism in the Sky,” or “The Origins of the Overclass,” which discusses the highly secretive alliance between the CIA, millionaire businessmen, Wall Street brokers, national news media and Ivy League scholars.
Holy FUCK! It’s no wonder Casey Serin doesn’t trust education!!!
Just after condensing all of this, I feel like I’ve watched a multi-day “King of the Hill” marathon, in which Dale Gribble was the only character.

Back Away From the Train Wreck, Slowly
That Casey fancies himself a Christian comes as no shock to readers. But the depth of this ranges from the benign to the commercial. There are national organizations as well as worldwide ones. If you like, Casey Serin can even give you a Christian history lesson.
The fundamentalist thinking appears in saved links on “evolution propaganda”. To keep in tune with the word while enjoying himself, Casey Serin seems to enjoy Christian movie reviews . “Welcome to Hollywood Jesus!”
While God goes secular, don’t forget to accessorize. It seems like Casey Serin even found a way to confuse a semi-popular phrase, interpreting it as “juice for Jesus.”
Those mildly amusing topics take a far backseat to some of Casey Serin’s other reading materials. At first glance, I found the folder “contradictions” to be funny. And when one page promised to “preach with sound doctrine and refute those who contradict it,” I chuckled, wondering what that group of self-described hypocrite haters would do if it ever got its hands on one Casey Serin. But then I scrolled down and saw articles such as “A Sermon Denying God’s Responsibility to Save Africans” and my chuckle was replaced with a chill.
The chill grew to a shudder when I found the folder marked “conspiracies.” In here, you will find that there is “a war for your mind” and that “the earth is being turned into a prison planet.” Beware the propaganda
Casey Serin has also been reading up on an “eternal life device”, as well as investigating a “cellular enhancement program.” Considering that Casey thinks he’s going to live for eternity, it makes me wonder what is his hurry for getting rich quick.
Under the innocuous title “dictionary,” there are links to the Skeptic’s Dictionary. At first, I thought Casey Serin must be practicing for that Christian refuting that was so lauded earlier. But the topics of alternative medicine, junk science, new age beliefs and the metaphysical all seem to line up with other belief sets.
These are shown prominently in Casey Serin’s “danger” file. Here we discover “50 Reasons to Oppose Fluoridation” and “What Your Dentist isn’t Telling You About Fluoride.” Again, no stone is left unturned. We find that soy is merely a “so-called” health food, as you will see from “The Whole Soy Story.”
Water is essential, but it must be filtered. Meanwhile, “Don’t Drink Your Milk” and rage against Splenda.
One article claims to treat hypoglycemia by avoiding grains, while others urge resuming the diet of the Paleolithic Age. If all else fails, there is always “the Maker’s Diet.”
With a deep fear of nearly every type of food setting in, Casey Serin takes to labeling various folders with names like “blood” and “clean.”
Something called the “failsafe” food network comes into play, while articles on veganism sit side-by-side with articles on “nomad cows” producing the best beef to eat. Who says fundies can’t enjoy a little play on words?
To round out your knowledge, everything you’ve never wanted to know about bioterrorism to bowel movements can be found here while “safe foods” are discussed here.
I mean, really...am I the only one thinking right now that Casey Serin didn’t just *drink* the kool-aid, but that he was actually the one mixing it?!?!

Too Much Snark for One Post
And possibly in preparation for entertaining the other prison inmates, Casey Serin has been looking into both hip-hop and ballroom dancing. Casey Serin may have been facing foreclosure, but he was looking to swing!
Yes, Casey Serin is funny. “Nap” rightfully gets its own category. Which isn’t to say that it should be confused with its sister folder, “sleep.” Casey is so obsessed with sleep in fact, that he even includes an article about it in his “productivity” folder.
In the same vein, Casey Serin includes a link to Netflix in that same “productivity” file. And yet, for his inability to keep track of important dates (returning short-sale agreements to lenders, two-month forebearance contract to CashCall) Casey has saved a half-dozen different online calendars.
Living in an RV first cropped up in December of 2005. So enamored of the idea was young Casey that he researched purchasing such a vehicle.
Casey Serin also shows an interest in the “extreme sport” of Parkour. This is defined as “a physical art of French origin, the aim of which is to move from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment — from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls.”
Hmmm...sounds like fancy talk for “walking.” I wonder if Casey was asking himself, as I was, what if *you* are the concrete wall in question?
Finally, proving that Casey Serin is inept at even the simplest task, we find that he had to keep an online bookmark in order to successfully complete this labyrinthine task.
And because there are just too many jokes to go along with that one, I’ll leave the snark in your hands...

All Good Things
This is part of a multiple post. Click here to read the first, What Could Social Bookmarking Reveal About Casey Serin?
Casey Serin’s saved “favorites” date back to 2005, and paint a much more macro picture of him than he would like the world to see. One such revelation is that, while his online beg-a-thon wouldn’t occur until March of 2007, Casey Serin was researching “panhandling” five months earlier in October.
True to the early days of his Ponzi schemes, that same link is cross-referenced as a “business idea.” Yes. To Casey Serin, panhandling equates business idea. Sadly, it still makes more sense than the folder labeled “homeless” which began in March of 2006
Casey Serin’s “business ideas” run the gamut, and are all nonsensical at best. There is the hilariously funny idea of content writing and pay-per-post blogging (in a folder appropriately labeled “moneytize.”) We also see that Casey wanted to show off his writing skills, as evidenced in his “media” folder.
Then there is some crazed thing about “naming your baby’s destiny.” From t-shirts to wacky truck toppers, Casey Serin left no virtual stone unturned in the quest for cheap and easy money.
The Million Dollar Homepage is of course rehashed, along with some work-at-home ideas.
Of course, there are also some affiliate programs thrown in the mix as well. And of course, two of their sites are listed in the annals of Rip-Off Report.
Also in October, the infamous “Save Karyn” shows up under “business idea”, “panhandling” and “book deal.” Yep, we all suspected that Casey Serin was shopping for the exposure, but there proof and the pudding.
Speaking of proof, Casey Serin’s motivation folder has obviously done him a world of good. To be similarly motivated, just click here.
In this one, I can’t actually tell if Casey Serin was researching internet trolls, or if he thought this was a real job. Considering that this was also saved, I’m leaning toward the latter.
And for those who still hold out hope that Casey Serin is not a con artist, I’m going to have to refer you to Dante and his famed disclaimer “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” For in Casey Serin’s “communication” folder, we find a link to the curiously titled “Reading People for Profit.”

Were There Other Online Scams?
Casey Serin’s interests, not surprisingly, then take a turn toward learning about SEO, web marketing and shiny tech toys. How to Blog for Fun and Profit and How to Make a Million Dollars becomes the new favorite pastime. He also saves blogs he wishes to emulate, such as this one.
There are numerous saved sites for e-commerse (sic) solutions. At this point, we can only wonder if Casey Serin succeeded in ever establishing any online commerce schemes. While only he may know that for now, we can at least surmise that he might have gotten lucky here.
Keeping up with Casey Serin’s reading list can sometimes be frightening. As for this save, I can’t tell if he decided to follow the story to again point out how much worse he himself could have been, or if this item
set a new personal bar in terms of potentially criminal behavior.
Speaking of criminal behavior, Casey Serin started watching the ongoing stories at the Mortgage Fraud Blog and C. Robert Simpson’s company (he of the great Scotsman Guide article) around the same time. Simultaneously, young Casey Serin started lining up attorneys as well.
(Hmmm…do you think that, along with the advice to not detail your crimes online, that an attorney further advise you don’t keep an electronic trail to his door?)
But the original attorney may have been too pricey for the likes of Casey Serin. Either that, or Casey’s bottom-feeding extends to his sources for legal information. Legal information also turns up this interesting link.
But Casey Serin has many, as they say, friends in low places. In his “friends” folder, we find some sort of questionable “internet consultant” scheme. Then there’s the one who buys pre-foreclosure homes, but apparently even he didn’t want anything to do with Casey Serin’s ramshackle properties.
As you might imagine, there are hundreds of various pages saved for brokers, real estate clubs and other myriad opportunities. It’s not a great surprise that a good chunk of those links no longer work. In fact, one such entity, “Test My Loan” takes a prime spot in the Rip-Off Report. A few days later, he finds a perfect source for his “liar loans” schtick The same day, he finds another source he tags “blog it,” seemingly in an attempt to show the world, “See! I’m not *this* bad!”
In a separate folder, we see that Casey Serin was composing both his messaging for potential home buyers as well as the script for his scammail that would go out to attract “private real estate investors.”
We also see the beginning of the idiotic and illegal raffle idea for the New Mexico house. And the early days of a Nevada corporation along with what promises to be a six-figure line of credit with no income documentation.
This would be important, since Casey Serin had a decent sized folder that focused on repairing bad credit. And in case that didn’t work, there’s always alternative sources for credit cards
While researching his various borrowing options, Casey Serin does indeed bookmark Prosper. Proving that he has a lengthy history of being strapped for cash, notorious lender CashCall is also bookmarked--as early as December of 2005.
And drawing into question, yet again, whether or not Casey Serin ever intended to repay his debts, he also saved a handy article that promises to “Reveal the Secrets of the Collections Industry.”

What Could Social Bookmarking Reveal About Casey Serin?
I stumbled across a list of favorite websites that Casey Serin saved. At first glance, it reflects the same Casey Serin that we have seen over at IAFF for the past eight months: obsessed with quick and easy money, shiny objects, and all-around shady shit.
The first thing that strikes me is that the scope of Casey Serin’s frauds and schemes could have potentially stretched much further. The mortgage broker who unearthed the Earth Mission blog and stopped Casey Serin in his tracks should certainly get some recognition.
From Casey Serin’s saved links, we can see that he showed an interest in developing quite a long arm in real estate. He was searching commercial properties and mobile homes
alike. He seemed to be investigating real estate in Boulder, while Austin gets a few saved links.
Durham must have looked good, as did Raleigh. Then there was Los Angeles and La Quinta, Palm Springs and Rochester.
Phoenix, Portland and San Francisco were all on the research list. Then our little real estate mogul investigated preconstruction resort properties and luxury vacation homes, both in the U.S. and abroad.
In a ghastly example of irony, we find that Casey Serin was also looking into the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund for some sweet deals.
On a strange sidenote (that might become more clear as the story progresses) while Casey Serin investigated properties in Albuquerque, he felt compelled to include a church in that particular folder.
Another observation reveals precisely why Casey Serin’s properties fell to foreclosure. Out of his many saved websites, some fifty are for guru training, nearly 300 are blog or blog marketing related, two hundred or so are various real estate schemes/investment clubs, fifteen for travel, and only three relate to construction.
Of the construction links, one is the “Rein Club Pre-Launch Party” for the Ivana Tower in “Los Vegas” (sic). Like many of Casey Serin’s own hopes and dreams, the tower has since been cancelled.
Serin’s other saved construction-related sites don’t reveal anything such as “how to fix a leaky faucet,” as you might expect from a young go-getter who is looking to strike it rich in fix-and-flip properties. Rather, they are links to search contractors’ licenses.
As early as January 2006, Casey Serin was saving articles on the ka-“boom” cycle of real estate. Apparently this was good enough to save, but not good enough to heed the warnings.

Casey Serin Saved?
To celebrate, he's off to Lake Tahoe. Tells Galina he needs to "get back to nature," but follows that by saying that he'll spend the time catching up on emails and moderating blog comments. Ha!
Casey Serin doesn't want the Haterz to pick on him for spending money on a trip, and convinces us he's staying cheap. Hell, when he first brought up Tahoe and all the glorious fucking nature, I assumed he was camping. Stupid me.
"I will share needs and provide a way for people to participate. It will be fun and profitable for everyone involved."
Oh, fuck. Everybody hold on to your wallets.
Let me warn you to not drain all of your hate on this particular item. I have to do some serious editing, but I've got some blog posts coming up today that will blow Casey's paltry revelation to shame. Trust me...this will be colorful.

Casey Serin and the Case of the Disappearing Money
A repeated source of disgust in these pages, Casey Serin had the gall to hold an online beg-a-thon just a few weeks ago.
Yesterday, his report that his car has been broken into and that sister-in-law Yulia Suprun is threatening to kick the Serins out of her house if they don't cough up two months' back rent has raised even more red flags.
Casey Serin had told his audience the night of the beg-a-thon that, while he and Galina were to be paid for the rigorous task of burning CDs, that money was designated to Yulia to cover two months of unpaid rent.
What followed in Casey Serin's posts over the next couple of weeks included information that he and wife Galina Serin had celebrated their anniversary, disappeared from town for a week on a trip, and traveled to IKEA for an emergency meeting where they purchased new office furniture.
These comments alone should have had readers in a lather. After all, how does an indigent, unemployed couple finance these endeavors?
Sprezzatura points outs that Casey's latest report that Yulia is still owed rent monies is met with the response that "For those wondering, the beg-a-thon money and CD job money WAS gonna go for rent but somehow disappeared for some other needed expenses."
Money just disappears from Casey and Galina Serin's lives. Certainly, there is no accounting for the tens of thousands of dollars that Casey Serin received in his shady cash back at close real estate deals.
There is no accounting for how Casey and Galina Serin racked up nearly $200,000 in credit card and loan debt over the course of 2006.
There is no accounting for the "missing Utah payment."
The lack of financial accountability here is staggering. Law enforcement, the IRS, and the Serins multiple creditors will have a lot of unraveling before anyone really knows where any of this money is.
Some speculate that it's in a coffee can in the backyard. Others think it's in an offshore account. Certainly, for the amount of shady advice and guru training that he's gotten over the years, and the pricey consultations with accountants and attorneys, this is certainly possible.
Personally, I think the money has been pissed away on cheap junk, travel, and supporting a lifestyle that Casey and Galina Serin couldn't possibly afford otherwise. I've said before that I wonder if Casey and Galina Serin ever intended to repay their debt...if the foreclosures weren't merely a planned precursor to a bankruptcy filing, where the white trash duo simply retained the tens of thousands of cash-back dollars in lieu of any sort of work.
Until then....

Oh, Casey
I feel a certain vicarious thrill from this, as Alex and I traded segments on the Casey Serin story for a few days. Strangely, that site received quite a number of hateful and threatening comments when that story was posted. I know from our emails that it was way beyond anything I've seen over here.
I didn't see any such 'backlash' on my site, and felt pretty bad for involving another blogger in a sort of meme that brought that kind of lunacy. So I really have to say that the screenshot on Nightline restored a balance of sorts. Congratulations, again!
It seems that Friday's revelation about Casey Serin's dirty little paper trail has tongues around the country wagging. R-boy has unearthed some old Serin family court cases, and it doesn't look like they're related to Lady Liberty opening her arms and accepting this shady clan to join the nation.
I'm glad I could give some junior detectives something fun to unearth over the weekend. It will be interesting to see what the blogosphere discovers from this point. It's interesting to think about what people can find in public records....versus what one can find with a subpoena.

The Human Zoo
So I find it difficult, again funny, to think that someone was reading Mencken to stave off boredom. I jotted off a note that maybe he might want to consider Dante's Inferno for his next bit of light reading, then thought about my own knee-jerk response.
(A brief sidenote: I highly recommend clicking on the Inferno link. Sit through the flash intro and all to see the product of a truly twisted mind. I almost revoked my loathing for this novel, until I was reminded that "There are four rings of the frozen lake of Cocytus: 1)Caina, 2)Antenora, 3)Ptolomea, 4)Judecca." Ugh...it's an eigth-grade blue book test all over again.)
Looking back there is certainly a danger in having young people read advanced topics as a basis for education. Certainly, texts such as this helped develop my reasoning and logic, but I surely never understood anything other than the mechanics of the writing back then. Consuming an author like Mencken for content could only come later; but to folks who were force-fed the rants at an early age, the likelihood of revisiting such authors at a later stage is severely diminished.
So I took a few precious minutes out of my day to read the link my friend had included in his email. It proved to be a timely topic, as you will see. I was mildly surprised to be amused by this selection from "Damn!" and believe I will have to rethink the lifetime ban on Mencken.
I often wonder how much sound and nourishing food is fed to the animals in the zoological gardens of America every week, and try to figure out what the public gets in return for the cost thereof. The annual bill must surely run into millions; one is constantly hearing how much beef a lion downs at a meal, and how many tons of hay an elephant dispatches in a month. And to what end? To the end, principally, that a horde of superintendents and keepers may be kept in easy jobs. To the end, secondarily, that the least intelligent minority of the population may have an idiotic show to gape at on Sunday afternoons, and that the young of the species may be instructed in the methods of amour prevailing among chimpanzees and become privy to the technic employed by jaguars, hyenas and polar bears in ridding themselves of ice.As I mentioned, I found this timely. Because the immediate parallel that I drew was to Casey Serin. As taxpayers, we will pay for the care and feeding of Casey Serin in one way or another for years to come.
So far as I can make out, after laborious visits to all the chief zoos of the nation, no other imaginable purpose is served by their existence. One hears constantly, true enough (mainly from the gentlemen they support) that they are educational. But how? Just what sort of instruction do they radiate, and what is its value? I have never been able to find out. The sober truth is that they are no more educational than so many firemen's parades or displays of sky-rockets, and that all they actually offer to the public in return for the taxes wasted upon them is a form of idle
and witless amusement, compared to which a visit to a penitentiary, or even to Congress or a state legislature in session, is informing, stimulating and ennobling.
Education your grandmother! Show me a schoolboy who has ever learned anything valuable or important by watching a mangy old lion snoring away in its cage or a family of monkeys fighting for peanuts. To get any useful instruction out of such a spectacle is palpably impossible; not even a college professor is improved by it. The most it can imaginably impart is that the stripes of a certain sort of tiger run one way and the stripes of another sort some other way, that hyenas and polecats smell worse than Greek 'bus boys, that the Latin name of the raccoon (who was unheard of by the Romans) is _Procyon lotor_. For the dissemination of such banal knowledge, absurdly emitted and defectively taken in, the taxpayers of the United States are mulcted in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. As well make them pay for teaching policemen the theory of least squares, or for instructing roosters in the laying of eggs.
As for the educational benefit of watching the Casey Serin trainwreck from the sidelines, what benefit is there, really? Who can learn anything from Casey Serin? Much in the same way that Mencken points out the tiger's stripes, so too have we determined the shallow value of the Casey Serin.
Really...re-read the above paragraphs, and in lieu of 'zoo' or 'animals', insert "Casey Serin" or "Galina Serin." It's amazing how accurate the text becomes.

Send Galina Serin to Prison
Casey claims that wife Galina Serin was merely an outsider in his multiple frauds and schemes. But ignorance or stupidity has never been some sort of 'get out of jail free' card. In fact, of the four states where Casey and Galina Serin perpetrated their crimes, all four state that debt is a community property.
Since Casey and Galina Serin are California residents, the scenario is most easily clarified through California Family Code:
§910. (a) Except as otherwise expressly provided by statute, the community estate is liable for a debt incurred by either spouse before or during marriage, regardless of which spouse has the management and control of the property and regardless of whether one or both spouses are parties to the debt or to a judgment for the debt.
In short, Casey Serin can prattle on all he wants about Galina Serin having signed quit-claim deeds so that he was in sole possession of the properties. The state of California doesn't care who's name is on a particular bill. This is further reinforced by the fact that Casey Serin admits that the couple used credit cards in Galina's name to support various issues for their shady 'real estate business.'
That first co-mingled dirty penny confirmed to the state of California that Galina Serin was a willing participant. Of course, the business licenses are damning enough. It's a fairly implausible situation for two spouses two jointly register a corporation (or LLC or DBA) yet somehow only one spouse expects to hold liability for the venture.
Now, before you go crying a tear for Galina Serin, let's not forget that, as Casey has pointed out, Galina Serin has been studying to become a Certified Public Accountant. So she would have actually have been far more qualified than Casey to read over the mortgage documents, or at the very least, assess the gravity of the situation her husband was entering into.
Just as I'm inclined to not believe other spouses whose husbands commit various crimes, I find it impossible to believe that Galina Serin had no knoweldge of her husband's nefarious activities. By Casey Serin's own admission, Galina Serin has been the point person for their shady accounting since the beginning.

As you can see from the above, Galina Serin had a much broader and clearer picture of the family finances than anyone else. I'm just not buying that she couldn't perform the basic addition/subtraction functions to see a negative amount in the final line of the accounting.
So while Casey Serin was playing with his tech toys and other assorted shiny objects, it's just too precious to think that Galina Serin was blind to the multiple schemes and frauds, making her a party to them.
But let's say she is 'mentally challenged.' At least one state where Casey and Galina Serin committed their crime spree won't care. The Great State of Texas is notorious for prosecuting (hell, even executing) retarded folk. So Galina Serin's 80 IQ won't get her out of this, either.
Now, as we've recently been told, Galina Serin has been studying full-time for her Associates Degree in accounting...for at least four of the past six years. Whether or not this is another Casey Serin lie or not, anyone who has been in school for a specialized certification would have learned the very basics of the field.
When Galina Serin was doing the books for the Serin family frauds, she had to have known that there would be just a wee problem with Casey Serin's stated-income loans where he reported to earn $200,000-$300,000 per year. (This was one of Casey Serin's late-night admissions during last weekend's beg-a-thon.)
Now onto the Serin family's new path to righteousness: Bankruptcy.
First of all, to even remotely qualify for bankruptcy protection, Casey and Galina Serin would have to come clean, under penalty of perjury, about the frauds. I doubt they're willing to do that. So let's assume that they will continue to compile one lie on top of another, and 'ignore' the fraud element, because, well, everybody's doing it.
Should they take that route, the feds can tack on some additional sweet charges such as perjury and bankruptcy fraud, just for starters. But at the end of the day, bankruptcy does NOT protect anyone from the financial condequences of FRAUD and CRIME !!!
Here are some other fun charges for the dynamic dumbasses. Let's move onto Conspiracy. Black's Law defines Conspiracy as "an agreement by two or more persons to commit an unlawful act, coupled with an intent to achieve the agreement's objective, and action or conduct that furthers the agreement; a combination for an unlawful purpose."
It is worth pointing out that just because the desired outcome was not achieved does not eliminate conspiracy. In other words, even unsuccessful criminal enterprises such as those perpetrated by Casey and Galina Serin fall under conspiracy.
Galina Serin can probably look forward to some other fun charges: RICO (pattern of racketeering), racketeering (including but not limited to mail fraud, wire fraud, financial institution fraud), and money laundering (Galina's keeping the books and more than a few folks have noticed that there are at least a couple hundred thousand dollars unaccounted for).
Among the wait-and-see charges, we might also see some tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud thrown into the mix just for fun.

America's Love Affair With Deadbeats
The Tax Founation has released its latest special report, Who Pays America's Tax Burden, and Who Gets the Most Government Spending? The report finds that,
"Overall, we find that America's lowest-earning one-fifth of households received roughly $8.21 in government spending for each dollar of taxes paid in 2004. Households with middle-incomes received $1.30 per tax dollar, and America's highest-earning households received $0.41. Government spending targeted at the lowest-earning 60 percent of U.S. households is larger than what they paid in federal, state and local taxes. In 2004, between $1.03 trillion and $1.53 trillion was redistributed downward from the two highest income quintiles to the three lowest income quintiles through government taxes and spending policy."
While I questioned the rise of America's bottom-feeding class this past weekend, who knew that my Inbox would unearth even more of Casey Serin and his ilk. Maybe this is the "richness" in the lethargic class's "get rich quick" idea. After all, here in America, you can contribute the least and take the most, with few if any consequences.
As if that weren't bad enough, the Tax Foundation points out that "'Americans will work longer to pay for government (120 days) than they will for food, clothing and housing combined (105 days)," said Hodge. "Since 1986 taxes have cost more than these basic necessities. In fact, Americans will work longer to afford federal taxes alone (79 days) than they will to afford housing (62 days).'
In 2007 Americans will work another 41 days to afford their state and local taxes. That makes taxation a bigger financial burden than housing and household operation (62 days), health and medical care (52 days), food (30 days), transportation (30 days), recreation (22 days), or clothing and accessories (13 days)."
A rabid Libertarian friend has been advocating "No Representation Without Taxation" for years. In his mind, this means that, for example, the unemployed should not be able to vote on issues such as welfare spending or reforms.
After all, how many of us make an 800% return on our investments in one year? Far from it, most of us will spend the first 120 working days of 2007 to not only contribute to our communities' infrastructure, but to support the underachievers around us.
Have at it.....

Casey Serin,
The End is Nigh
The very day after readers save his ass from the long arm of CashCall, Casey Serin starts posting some whiny rants about even greater amounts that he feels his readers owe him.
Fuck him. Apparently Friday night's beg-a-thon produced a couple of results. The lowlife circus atmosphere of Casey Serin taking photos of the contents of Yulia's refrigerator was a new low. Even the questionably-abled and ethically-challenged "mortgage lender" Nigel Swaby said 'enough.'
It was always a curious alliance--a mortgage lender befriending and defending a multi-state mortgage felon. But bloggers had been speculating for months that Nigel was positioning himself to eventually take over Casey Serin's website to use as a lead-generator.
And sure enough, after Casey Serin's whoring on Friday night, Nigel Swaby informed Casey he was severing whatever partnership or business dealings that were planned. I'm only surprised that any legitimate real estate pro would touch Casey Serin with a ten-foot pole. Who could possibly imagine that would be a career booster?
Other events in the world of America's favorite fucktard, Casey Serin is his idea of an April Fool's joke.
I Bought 1.3 Million Shares of GSPG
Via my corporation. On Friday. At
$0.0034. Why not?
Yeah, that's really funny. Shows a lot of gratitude to those folks who saved Yulia's couch from the CashCall collectors. You're an asshole, Casey Serin. The only thing we want to hear from you is when you stand up and reply "Yes" to the judge who asks, "Mr. Serin, is it true that you won't be testifying on your own behalf?"
The only thing I thought was funny was that, for all of the BITCHING that Casey Serin does about his supposed "haters" and the "Casey Serin hater sites" out there, he keeps one in particular in his toolbar for what could only be frequent reading.
No, this is not photoshopped. No, this is not an April Fool's joke. As we suspected all along, Casey Serin is Rob Dawg's biggest fan. Even Casey gets that he couldn't exist in the blogosphere without people like Rob.

Okay, Blogger is squashing the pic and I'm not in the mood to futz with the resolution too much. In case you don't have eyesight that allows you to see clouds around planets, it basically shows that Casey has ExUrbanNation open in his browser, obviously hopping back and forth to Rob Dawg's site.

"Only In America"
Casey Serin Begs for Online Dollars
ExUrbanNation has become a regular staple, thanks to both its author's topics and the highly intelligent community amassed there. When I saw something about Casey Serin having a hard deadline from Cash Call, I wandered over there to see what the hubbub was all about.
Casey Serin was begging for "donations" from his readers to supply him with the $220 he needed to meet the Cash Call deadline by Saturday afternoon. I was shocked by the hubris. After over a year of unemployment, committing multiple felonies for monetary gain, refusing to heed any type of advice that he get a job and dig himself out of the hole he is in, he was begging.
Frankly, I was repulsed. Casey Serin has had months to find some sort of employment in order to meet the multiple hundreds of thousands of bills he has due. And yet he sat on his ass blogging, and at the 11th hour, reached out to people that he's spent the past six months whining are "hating on" him to pull his blue balls out of the fire.
While Casey Serin has been petulantly responding to his readers for the past three months that "I AM working," the reality of his situation is that he and his wife had a combined total of $40 to their names last night, were two months' past due on rent to his sister-in-law Yulia, and had about 18 hours to stop Cash Call from repossessing their belongings.
Once again, Casey Serin is not quite the big boy he is continually trying to make himself out to be.
But what amazed me even more is that people actually did reach into their hard-earned finances and sent him money. Within two hours, the total of Casey Serin's "donations" had exceeded a thousand dollars.
At that point, I lost much of the little respect I had left for society, justice, and humanity. After a ninety-hour week of "fixing" some pretty fucked-up scenarios for a client, I just wanted to put my head down on the desk and go to sleep for a very, very long time.
I mean, is this what the "American Way" has become? What happened to hard work, frugality, decency? Casey Serin was within inches of feeling even the slightest sense of consequence for the lifestyle that he has chosen for himself--a lifestyle that, primarily without his and Galina's families' support, would certainly mean homelessness and hunger. (Although, let's be honest...it's pretty fucking hard to starve to death in America.)
Apparently somewhere in the values shift of a once-great nation, we now reward frauds and felons. It goes to my theory of why white-collar criminals historically receive relatively light sentences: Because the vast majority of the jury pool can put themselves in the defendant's shoes and visualize themselves doing the exact same thing. So we apparently don't really value hard work anymore. We value getting rich quick, and sadly, most of us seem to have a price.
I was somewhat relieved to learn that a huge chunk of Casey Serin's $1,000+ in donations proved to be fraudulent. But the "donations" still enabled him to cover his nut to Cash Call and yet again avoid any type of consequence.
I don't clearly understand why rational, intelligent human beings would be willing to take money out of their own pockets and play some sort of codependant role to this little rat bastard. People who have been urging, screaming at Casey Serin to get a job for months opened their wallets and saved his ass.
I kept wondering last night if every-fucking-one online was drunk. That may be the case, as many of last night's participants express regret for assisting Casey Serin in the clear light of day.
But what fooled anyone about this supposedly 'new and improved' Casey Serin last night? Why did anyone think that someone who has exhibited a pattern of fraudulent behavior, theft, and general stupidity had somehow learned the error of his ways over a petty $220? Really, it pales in comparison to the approximately $2.5 million he has amassed through his fraud and credit lines.
If anything, what most of these people have done, under the guise of "helping" Casey Serin, is reinforce his worldview that "it's all good." That he really doesn't have to work, that magical fucking fairies will somehow deliver him money, and that he is better than people who really do work for a living.
